Took over our tomatoes in the front. We pulled them all out today and will not be planting any nightshade type plants there for a couple years at least while we try to get the soil back up to par. What a pain! 😉
We also found a home for our grey rooster. I took him down on Saturday and he will live a VERY happy life on this farm. So i felt good about that. More later as I try to catch up from my weekend away. Why is it that you go away for a couple days and there always seems to be twice the amount of work when you get back? LOL

I think the work gremlins sneak in and leave you a little happy~happy while you are gone!
Ha ha!! I think you are right Patti!
we got “the blight” also. we tried the cornmeal approach and i was convinced it didn’t work until i started to see other gardens completely eaten up. this wet year was tragically bad for “the blight” here in the ozarks. i just did some further reading on the topic and it seems further study suggests we didn’t use enough cornmeal often enough. there are so many lessons that are queued to be remedied next year that i’m dizzied.
i don’t know the cornmeal method…hmmmm anyone care to elaborate? haha it’s been crazy wet weather all over i guess!
