While girls were visiting grandparents, J and I got some time on the lake with friends. That is not me on the skis but my beautiful friend Claire who had decided to water ski again after many years. She did great! (That is J in the back of the boat).
A single photo – no words (okay, sometimes a couple words) – capturing a single moment in the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. If you’re inspired to do the same, leave a link to your ‘moment’ in the comments for all to find and see. And to see where this all started, visit Soulemama.

Lovely photo, it looks like it could have come out of a magazine. Take care.
Howdy Cat,
this is my first time visit here on your blog and I can say, you got a nice blog going.
It looks like you guys found a nice way to get a cool refreshment in combination with lots of fun from the daily heat down here in Texas. What lake did you go to?
We made a trip out to lake Houston the other day and couldn't believe how low the water it was. It looked like it was gonna dry out before long.
Btw, the black and white photo turned out really good. Some pictures just do look much better in black and white or sepia.
Best Regards
Paula Jo (Spring, TX)
