Garden Blogger’s Bloom Day – July 2010

Here are the blooms that are decorating our garden today. We have had an amazing summer so far. Temps have been great, lots of rain even into this month. Everything is growing and happy. After last year’s death ray heat, everything and everybody here are breathing little grateful sighs to the weather gods for being kind to us this year. I have alot more flowering plants than I photographed, but since there are alot of photos to begin with I thought I’d better not push it. Hah!

After you are done here, go check out Carol’s blog at May Dream Gardens and see where all this began! Enjoy!

Peace!

  1. That sunflower bud is stunning.

  2. That top black bloom? It's gorgeous, is it a sunflower? Everything looks great! You need to come by for a drinky winky at the bar!

it is a sunflower…i wish i could tell you the name but i got the seeds in a mix from a friend and can't find the label..haha i saved some seed heads from this plant for seed saving. 🙂

  5. All lovely pics, but the sunflower IS stunning. I've grown sunflowers but I have never seen this variety. Glad the weather is more agreeable this year 🙂

  6. You have a beautiful garden. I love all the colors

  7. The variety of your blooms is grand. You inspired me to get out and take a few shots–and with my new camera, I can photograph our bees visiting flowers. Thank goodness for macro lens. Nice photos.
